Speech: The Price of Human Assets

At the National Leverage Lab (the first conference for workplace abuse and accountability) I told a story about meeting OpenAI whistleblower , Suchir Balaji’s parents and how a line of mathematical thinking he pointed toward has influenced the way we are now trying to calculate the value of human input to the economy, bit by bit.

That question sits at the center of my work: if AI systems learn from human behavior, knowledge, correction, culture, and participation, how do we actually measure what people contributed?
