Data is the connective tissue of network civilization and the micro-unit through which agency, identity, and value become visible.
Data Lineage
Data has lineage.
It carries traces of the agents, contexts, interactions, environments, and transformations that produced it.
Data lineage matters because Relational Attribution becomes impossible when data is detached from the people, systems, and relationships that generated it.
Without lineage, data can become a vehicle for hidden Value Distribution and unrecognized extraction.
