Inclusionism Core
Participation
Active engagement in systems of value creation, governance, or coordination.
This page presents the Inclusionism canon's treatment of Participation. Inclusionism was developed by James Felton Keith and is published with the Keith Institute.
Definition
Active engagement in systems of value creation, governance, or coordination.
Inclusionist Principle
Civilizations flourish when participation scales broadly.
Interpretive Participation
Participants do not only act within systems. They also interpret interactions, experience consequences, and contest how institutions describe what occurred.
Meaningful participation therefore includes the capacity to offer evidence, challenge an interpretation, and remain part of a system without requiring unanimous agreement. See Contextual Legitimacy and Relational Interpretation.
