This page presents the Inclusionism canon's treatment of Universalism as an Outcome of Identity. Inclusionism was developed by James Felton Keith and is published with the Keith Institute.
Conventional View
Identity and universalism are opposites.
Identity must decrease for universalism to emerge.

Universalism emerges from mature identity.

Principle
Stable universalism requires mature identities.
Attempts to bypass identity frequently produce assimilation rather than universalism.
Universalism cannot be imposed.
Universalism emerges when mature identities voluntarily enter Interaction and Belonging with one another.
This makes universalism an outcome of Agency, Legitimacy, and Fairness, not a substitute for them.
